World Citi Colleges (WCC) officially launched its School of Career Advancement and Lifelong Education (SCALE) on May 15, 2025, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to delivering accessible, career-focused education for learners and professionals across industries.

The event brought together professionals from diverse sectors and was graced by Atty. Cinderella Filipina S. Benitez-Jaro, Executive Director IV of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), who emphasized the relevance of micro-credentials in preparing learners for a globally competitive and rapidly changing workforce.

In his welcome address, Dr. Raymond Patrick V. Guico, President of World Citi Colleges, highlighted the importance of lifelong learning and upskilling in today’s dynamic world.

“Today marks not just the unveiling of SCALE—it marks a shared commitment to equipping our workforce with real, practical skills that respond to evolving industry demands. Through SCALE, we aim to provide flexible, globally relevant micro-credential courses that empower professionals to reskill, upskill, and stay competitive,” Dr. Guico said.

The launch also featured a program orientation led by Dr. Emmanuel P. Paulino, Director of WCC SCALE. To showcase the real-world application of micro-credentials, the event concluded with a pilot training session titled “Competency Needs Assessment and Workforce Development Through Power BI in the AI Era,” demonstrating how business intelligence tools can help organizations and their Human Resources leaders make data-driven decisions.

SCALE aims to respond to evolving market needs by offering short-term programs in high-demand areas such as business analytics, digital tools, healthcare, and professional development.
