WCC-QC SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL WEEK FIRES UP STUDENTS’ SPIRIT

The Legacy Batch (2016 to 2018) of Senior High School (SHS) Students of World Citi Colleges-QC campus participated in the first Senior High School Week event held from February 13th until 16th, 2017 at WCC Gymnasium. This activity was held to alleviate the spirit and unity among SHS students and to showcase their potentials and talents through their cooperation, collaboration, and participation in the event.

The highlight of the SHS Week Celebration was the Sports Festival wherein the students from all strands competed in Men’s Basketball and Mixed Volleyball tournaments. Seminars were also facilitated by invited industry speakers  such as Mr. Arnel A. Diego, who is a program Chairman of College of Psychology of National University.  His topic is entitled “ Love Forum” to share to the students how to handle relationships and their academic tasks. While Ms. Eloisa P. Tinio, consultant for education and training instituitions discussed about important matters regarding K to 12 programs.

The event also featured several academic-related contests such as Ultimate Science Wizard, Mathematics Olympiad (for both Academic and Technical-Vocational-Livelihood tracks), Declamation, Spelling Bee, Rapid Chess and Human Chess Tournaments, and even interactive booths. In addition, selected SHS students participated in extra-curricular contests like Debate: Pro or Con on Death Penalty and on Mass Media Censorship (SHS students vs. College students) held at WCC-QC Gymnasium and the Metro Manila Athletic Federation (MMAF) Rapid Chess Tournament at St. Paul’s University-Manila.

On the last day of Senior High School Week celebration, induction and oath-taking of SHS Student Council Officers (2016-2018) was conducted. On the same day, Sports Festival recognitions were given to the winners and they were awarded with trophies, medals, and certificates. Here is the summary list of recognitions and awardees:
